Adopt a Giant Tortoise!

Make your lasting connection to endangered species conservation for generations to come.

The only one of its kind in the world, the Adopt a Giant Tortoise program connects one person or community with one real, individual tortoise for life. Giant Tortoises live up to 150 years and a very few can live to 200 years! So your children, grandchildren, and perhaps even great-grandchildren will have a lifelong connection to Galápagos, and more importantly, a deep connection to wildlife conservation. The adopter will have the chance to name* their tortoise and will receive periodic updates about the tortoise’s progress. The adoption donation amount is the true cost to care for the tortoise for the remainder of their time in the breeding center and also the cost of their transport and release into the wild.

For payment plans or other adoption questions, please email ambassador@galapagos.org, or call: 703-383-0077 ext. 203.

*All names subject to approval by Galápagos Conservancy. Adopt by December 12th to receive an adoption packet in the mail in time for Christmas!
